Costume of the week: Anne of Green Gables

Yay! Another costume of the week! Or of the last two months. Oh dear! Well, this one is from a wonderful movie, or three, Anne of Green Gables! Thumbs up, everybody! Here we go. I’m choosing two favorites from each of the two (good) movies.

Anne of Green Gables:

White Sands recitation dress:

Anne of Avonlea:

School teacher look:

Dianna’s going away dress:

And a last picture to set off the others:

Aren’t they adorable?! BTW, it was VERY painful not choosing all the costumes! Let me know in a comment whether next week’s costume should be from The Sound of Music or The Fiddler on the Roof

Au Revoir!

Costume of the week: Prince Caspian characters

Hello everyone!

This week’s costume was very difficult to find. In the poll, it ended up that Chronicles of Narnia won. Even so, I couldn’t pick which movie to take one from. Even worse, when I decided which of the movies to take it from, I just couldn’t decide which costume. So this week this is what we are doing:

         Prince Caspian
Not only that. I am not doing only one person or costume. From Prince Caspian, I am doing the costumes of Peter, Susan, Edmund, Lucy, and Caspian. So get ready, this is going to be a long post.
Starting with first things first:

Costume of the week: Arwen’s chase costume

Hello! This weeks costume study is Arwen’s grey gown, worn during the rescue of Frodo from the ringwraiths.

I really like the fabric used. It is sort of rustic, yet elegant. The collar lends some femininity to the ensemble, perfectly offset by the long elven-sword. The way her hair is done is so free and wild, yet beautiful.

A more complete view. What ever you can find out about this costume will be greatly appreciated.
